Morning yall!
I'm home SANS KIDS! Dh took them allllll for me to their respective places. Now I'm enjoying coffee and a spinach and egg scramble and watching The Soup.
I was MIA yesterday.. Sorry my loves... I went to Urgent care for this stupid cold which I think is another sinus infection (#2 in 5 weeks). They just said to keep going with the Flonase... She would have put me on Levaquin, but that's what they gave me 5 weeks ago which didn't help. It's just viral (Thanks to LO) and I have to tough it out... I am fucking miserable.
Enough of my sob story. It's just been a rough week mentally for me... I am just so ready for spring. Thankful that LO hasn't been very sick (knock on wood)
Work today.. I see my therapist over my lunch break... then pick up LO, home, Some Bikini body mommy for a quick work out (Better than nothing) and then sleep.

I'm sorry it's been a rough week for you untaggablekatie. I completely agree on the needing it to be spring. I am done with this snow. I can only imagine how some of our New Englanders are feeling right now.
That looks delicious kamakaziartist! I had two hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and coffee with coconut milk and cinnamon. I need to get more creative with my eggs.
I'm sleepy today. This coffee is not doing the trick yet.
I feel great from hot yoga last night, but I was so hungry after. I ate a banana and some almonds but I still felt hungry. Nighttime hunger is the worst. On day 3 of whole 30 I'm feeling slimmer. I'm sure there is not a noticible difference yet but it's good to feel like it's working.

@elvk583 day three for some reason was the hardest for me. That felt like the peak of my body getting close to getting used to the new diet. It's easier now and this is day 8 for me.
@elvk583 I love hot yoga! I could only do it first thing in the morning though, otherwise I threw up. I'm with you though on the hunger afterwards... Geeeezzz. I used to eat a ton!
Sorry I've been MIA, I kept trying to catch up and participate over the last week but we had an audit yesterday for a benefit plan I administer (which I found a ton of mistakes on). So it's been pretty all consuming. Hopefully I'll be back and able to play for a while!

I would love to do hot yoga! There are a couple of places in town that have it.
Thanks you guys... DH had the same thing last week and has started to feel better...so I'm hoping I will be better by Saturday for Valentine's day... you know the NIPPLE-LESS BRA!!
I think I was over-medicating with double allergy medicine. I'm going to scale it back a bit
I'm pretty sure I've never called off work because of my period in my life, but I sure as shit did today. This is unusually ridiculous. I'm almost starting to worry something is wrong. I took Layla in to daycare and I plan to lay in bed with my heating pad and trashy TV all day. No fucks!

Back to the real world today- well I'm trying at least but the train might not make it! I stayed home Monday and Tuesday because of snowmagedon! I did lurk and wanted to send much love to all the sick mamas and babies. I'm glad to hear the good news lfigge and hope C feels better quickly @mx2 Also yes- pound puppies! I remember mine- Hershey!-your DD is adorable.
lfigge, I hope the rest of the ride is uneventful.
It's snowing. Again. My roof is leaking. Again. The roofer who was supposed to come Tuesday, now can't come until Thursday (because of weather/traffic/bad roads slowing him down). I'm ready to move to Hawaii.

Oh and I'm sad to report that on Monday morning I joined the 'let your baby fall out if the bed while you were sleeping' club- so scary! B is doing ok but not allowed to come to our bed anymore in the morning- which is really harder for me than her- but can't risk that again.

kamakaziartist, Well now my stupid instant oatmeal at my desk is looking really stupid! I should really hardboil some eggs and bring them in to work. Or do the eggs in a muffin tin thing I keep seeing on Pinterest and just grab one of those.
untaggablekatie, I'm so sorry you are still feeling badly. FX it clears up soon. Get some rest.
I love the quick tags feature on here.
Today is pretty boring so far. Work is busy but I'm putting off starting up on everything I need to do. I'm just really hoping that the rest of this week goes by quickly. I'm also all excited from my 2.5 lb weight loss!

I was up with Cadence from 330-5. She couldn't stop coughing from all the drool and drainage. I finally gave her some honey, as per a coworker's advice, and it actually worked! She was able to go back to sleep and slept until 7. I still had to get up at 6, but at least she got some sleep! I hope her day at dc doesn't suck. She seemed to be in a happy mood this morning when I left. I am now sitting at my desk sipping my cinnamon dolce from SB and trying to not fall asleep on my keyboard.
This woman who wrote the article is an idiot. If her child had a reaction to the vaccine, she's correct - she should avoid the vaccine. But she should also be praying to everything that is holy that everyone else who can get the vaccine, does, so that her kid doesn't catch the measles. IDIOT. Her kid is exactly the kid herd immunity is meant to protect, and I'm pretty sure that parent of a child with cancer wouldn't tell the parent of a child who had a negative reaction to a vaccine that her kid should still get the vaccine.

I just hate all of these armchair scientists.
I feel like she details her argument in her own article, ya know?
Also, this BS? Fuck you, douchecanoe, for comparing societal fears over a measles outbreak to the Holocaust. GTFO.
"By the way, did you know that studies show that exposing a cancer patient to wild measles could cure them? (See the Lancet – Bluming 1971, Pasquinucci 1971, Zygier 1971, Taqi 1981 and here and here). CNN even covered the story of the Ugandan boy who went into remission after wild measles exposure but the video and article have since been taken down. No surprise there. We’re trying to make a vaccine for that. If I had a child with cancer, you better believe I’d be looking for a kid with measles. But that’s just me.
Although I sympathize with your situation, pray healing for your child, and wish your circumstances on no one, that does not give anyone the grounds to trump my parental rights. My obligation as a parent is to my children, not yours and I will always (always) put them first. Don’t take it personally. I’m just a little tired of my children being used as the scapegoats of emotional arguments and misguided assertions.
You would be too if you were told you should be jailed or sued for exercising your autonomy as a parent and your “anti-vaxxer” children should be subjected to segregation and marked like the jews. I’m scared to repeat history. Aren’t you?"
Just caught up on yesterday's thread...lfigge and @mx2 hugs to y'all and your littles! Sending good thoughts to the moms with sick babies, sick moms, and those with AF (ugh). If you're all 3 of those...may the force be with you!
Night 3 of B sleeping 12 hours straight. It's like a miracle from heaven. This and a new dishwasher and I'm going to be partying in the streets.
