I completely feel like I'm falling apart today. My left pinky and ring finger and part of my lower arm are tingly - I asked Dr. Google and it appears to be the start of carpal tunnel and/or caused by extra blood flow because of the pregnancy - lovely. And to top it off....I have a pretty bad pain in my right middle back - it feels just like a knot. Ugh.
I had carpal tunnel so bad with ds3 that I lost all feeling in 3 of my fingers. Get a brace and take some b6. Also, there are some hand exercises you can do that will help. I met with a physical therapist and learned them but I'm sure you can find them if you Google. I hope it gets better soon. It really does suck.
I had carpal tunnel pretty bad with DD. And it's never fully gone away. It's so uncomfortable though! Wrist splints really helped me. Go to a Walgreens or cvs. They should sell them and you should feel more comfortable.
I will. After DD I had bad carpal tunnel in my right hand but I never expected it to start so early in the left and I never had tingling with the right hand.
Maybe you have a knot in your neck or shoulder on the right side that needs to be released? I've had to see a shoulder specialist and physical therapy for the tingling in my pinky and ring finger(and shoulder issue) and they seemed to think knots in my neck were causing the problem and shoulder weakness. It all started after I coslept with my daughter almost 2 1/2 years ago! I hope the wrist braces help though. If not I loved physical therapy. They are lifesavers!

+1 to loving the epidural. I don't know about having to wait to get it though. I was 3 cm when I went in and they said I could have it any time I wanted/needed it. (I held out a few hours and was just about to get it when my water broke.) I was told there was no such thing as too soon, which is what I always had heard too. Idk.
Also I'm on the body breaking down team. I have a tweaked knee and now a sore neck that I can barely move. Wtf is going on. I'm chalking it up to being old and out of shape because none of this seems remotely pregnancy related.

The only reasons I had to wait for mine (once I said I wanted it, they also told me I could get it whenever I wanted) was because they had to give me more fluids or something and then waiting for the asshole anesthesiologist (who I'm sure is a wonderful person, but I did not give two shits about whatever he had to say to me as I was shaking with rolling contractions).
peggels24 not caught up at all yet, but wanted to jump in to respond about vbac. I had a csec with my 1st and I'm going to try to vbac. I know what you mean though about kind of just wanting another csec. I actually had a wonderful recovery, and am also more scared about recovery from a vaginal birth. I think I'm going to try for a vbac because I just feel like I should at least try to avoid major surgery if possible...
Also, my OB told me that if you have had a csec before, they won't induce you. If for whatever reason you need to be induced, that's an automatic csec right there.
The field trip went well! Large groups of children that belong to other people will always be the worst, but we all made it out of the caverns alive.
I was able to sign DD out there instead of her going back to school on the bus, so I took her to get a haircut. It went from almost touching her butt, to just past her shoulders!
My OB appt today was a waste of time. I was there for about 45 minutes to be told my ultrasound looked fine (which I knew) and "brown blood is old blood" so not to worry. Waste.of.time. Next appt is ne t Friday and we'll do the Doppler (I'll be 10+6).

Argh bethkate, that is annoying. I wish they at least acknowledged your fear a bit! It's not like you're being completely unreasonable or anything.
I think that sounds like a reasonable excuse buttercup, and hopefully no one will even ask!
OMG, I just had a latte, and sorry baby, my caffeine tolerance is apparently really low now. I'm sure if I could feel it, it would be doing backflips, haha.
I hope next week's appt is better, bethkate. I'm sorry you didn't get more answers today.
Thanks. I wasn't expecting answers, I guess, but I wasn't quite expecting such of waste of time either. It was also with the NP, so it wasn't even my OB that I got to talk to.

Dear DH, stop asking me asinine questions while I'm dying on the toilet. I have no idea why the cat covered his food with a towel. GAH. Apparently, my body has decided that peanut butter crackers are diarrhea worthy. Wtf man. #tmi

I'm sorry it was such a waste. Can you get another ultrasound before then? Or least get one that day instead of the doppler?

I'll probably only ask for another u/s if the bleeding starts again. Otherwise I'll be content to hopefully hear the heartbeat on Friday. Then, I'm sure we'll schedule my NT scan in two weeks or so. I'm hoping for the 20th or 21st which will be just before I hit 12 weeks, but it's my spring break, so appts will be easy that week.

Oh that's really good to know about not inducing again.

Double check that with your own OB, of course. I was never told that. But then again my doctors are very anti-induction and if there's no medical issue will let you go until 42 weeks, which is basically my nightmare, lol.

My doc schedules the NT scan starting right at 12 weeks so I am not sure if you could do it before then.
I'll be 11+6 on 4/21, so that's the day I'm hoping for.

i went to 41+2 and was begging for an induction. Turns out I probably would never have gone into labour on my own. Her big ole noggin was pinching my cervix against the canal. In order to begin the induction, they had to reef my cervix out from behind her head and then break my water....it was good times.
I was full after a dinner of steak, veggies, and potatoes at 5:30, and by 7 I was mentally going through my fridge and cupboards trying to figure out what else we had to eat.
We're taking DD to see The Phantom of the Opera tomorrow and I'm probably going to have to smuggle a sandwich into the theater.
