I worked at a camp when I was pregnant with DS and kids never said anything to me about it. The week before I had DS, (around 33wks) I was talking to a co-worker about it and one of my 11 year olds was like, "wait, you're pregnant?" Um, what!?
lol...kids are so weird.
I have a coworker who the kids started spreading rumors about being pregnant earlier this year. Her son was 1, and she's thin, but she still had a bit of her baby belly. When she wore a certain outfit one day, the rumors started to fly with the kids, and people (kids and adults!) started asking her if she was pregnant. I felt so bad.
That's exactly what I look like too. Like to the point that I'm pretty sure a student snuck snapped a picture of me last week.
OMG. I'd lose my shit if I thought a student took a picture of me!
I've had a few students who I thought were looking at my belly a few times. I don't think it's super obvious, but I spend so much time with them, so they'll probably be the first to start to notice.
They probably weren't but I'm very conscious about my blump right now. I'm very uncomfortable.
I'm not sure how I'll tell my students but given they're high schoolers and we start our sex ed unit in May it'll come up. Last time I was pregnant I taught middle school. I was high risk and missed a lot of school during my first tri. I had two kids (who I really liked so I didn't mind) stop me mid sentence in class one day and told me they had a slap bet on whether or not I was pregnant. I found it hilarious so I spilled.
First ultrasound today. The tech made it very anticlimactic. I prefer the ones that point out what theyre measuring and in general say things. This one measured, pointed out heartbeat, pic for us, done. In other news, only one occupant!
