Woke up and it's a beautiful day again today. We are off to the beach for the morning! This'll be DS's second beach trip, the first he was around 9/10 months old and wasn't impressed with the weird ground that was sand. Hoping he's feeling more adventurous with it now since he's 2 next month!

Yay! This sounds like a great day my DS LOVED the beach at like 20 months. I bet your DS is gonna have a blast now! Have an awesome day!

We are telling more family today. I'll be 10 weeks on Sunday. My mom begged me to tell my aunt because they talk every day and it's been really hard not to say anything. Should be a fun day!

cnf2013 I think my office is normally 42 weeks but 41 weeks for AMA because of increased risks

My doctor won't schedule thing until you at least exactly the week of. Minimum 8w for dating, 12w for NT, 20w for anatomy. I had my dating scan with DD at 7+5 due to needing it on a Friday and they were very crabby at me for it.

I actually was looking on etsy and saw a few that I might consider. I like the "made with love and science" and "after every storm there's a rainbow." If this little one makes it, I definitely need a rainbow onesie.

I have a doppler. I'm like obsessed with it from 10 weeks until I feel kicks. DS had an arrhythmia in utero so it was such a mind game. With DD I used it about once a week.

I haven't been able to participate much here bc I'm so sick and can barely look at a screen, but I have to do a little AW today....... My son STTN for the first time EVER last night at 2yr8mo!! Let's hope the baby is a better sleeper. Lol!

Morning everyone!

I think I had my first weird hormonal thing happen. I had a dream that some young cousin of mine had a baby, but didn't want it, and I was crying because I couldn't adopt it because I was going to have my own baby! Then I woke up and was crying. Haha, so weird.

My SIL just messaged me saying "if I tell you something you can't tell DH"

First thought - she's pregnant

Then she texted a pic of an OPK asking if it's positive. Woah, no idea they were trying.

After some discussion, she's meant to O today as an app says so but I explained everything as she didn't really know anything about ovulation.

Exciting, but in another thought I'm scared that my baby will get pushed out if she gets pregnant like right away. Is that a selfish thought? My BFFs say it is slightly selfish. Like her and my MIL are quite close, and it's not secret that her daughter is my MIL's favourite grandchild. She basically helped brought her up, I don't think favourite is the right word but she does A LOT for her, has her all the time and whenever I offer for MIL to have DS, she turns me down saying "it would stress me out having him, I couldn't handle it" (exact words)

DS isn't overly comfortable around MIL and that's down to her not spending enough time with him.

So now I'm worried about this baby as say in a years time if SIL has had the baby (or pregnant) I think the attention will be off my baby, and MIL wouldn't be as bothered about it. I can already see MIL having SIL's baby whenever but when it comes to our new baby she will use the same excuse she has always used with DS.

The new baby won't miss out as my mum is already obsessed with this new baby and is already buying a swing, and Moses basket for her house. She has DS whenever she has a day off work, and sees him at least 4 times a week, so he and the new baby won't be missing out on any 'Nanny love'. She is slightly obsessive over him, and I'm completely fine with that as she doesn't force anything on me.

Very much aware this is like a novel but I can't talk to DH about it as he's terrible at keeping secrets and would slip up to SIL, and then I would be in the dog house FOREVER.

beefinch based on MIL's history with your DS, I don't think that's a selfish thought. Is she older and concerned about keeping up with your DS? That's a little strange otherwise. I am glad that your mom is around and supportive though!

Relationships with in laws can be tough.

I have to do laundry so badly. DS and DH are good, but I need to wash my clothes. And DH isn't allowed to do my laundry because he always dries my LLR. Blah.

No she isn't old. I think she's just turned 49. She had DH quite young. My niece has only just turned 5, and if anything is more lively than DS and constantly wants to be doing something and doesn't want to stay in the house on lazy days (while DS will happily play with his toys for hours)

I mean I don't care, but it bugs me when she moans that DS doesn't want to give her a hug or a kiss... that's because he doesn't want to as his doesn't feel comfortable with you. While my mum gets all the cuddles and kisses. It's just sad really as he's the most affectionate little boy to people he loves and knows.
