I survived and came back with less stuff and cash monies! I gave her a great deal on it all and I have more space in my house for what we're going to be getting for the kids bdays in the next two months! Win win!
And she works with one of the mom's of one of K's best friends from preschool! And she said message her when we're getting ready to sell more stuff!!
Today on my lunch break I went to Carters to pick up my online order and ended up spending more money. So maybe the in store pickup option is really not a good idea.
well usually because there are some people who would not leave enough for everyone else we usually have a 3 piece quota in our office. So I would eat my 3 pieces and then eat all the skinny girls left over pieces that they don't eat. I have no shame.
Hey now, this skinny girl would probably be the one making a quota on pizza. Ain't nobody getting my share of pizza!! Haha

So.. This past weekend one of the neighborhood ladies invited me to an Arbonne party. I got the invite and claim to be able to read, but the whole week or so leading up to the party- I thought it was an Airborn party- like the stuff you take to make your cold shorter. Of course I thought it was weird to have an Airborn party- but I need mom friends in the neighborhood, so whatever.
Boy was I surprised when it was for a mid-priced skin care line and not a supplement to boost your immunity...
The host asked what my "skin care routine" was. Cue blank stare. Are those make up removing towelettes a face care routine? I'm mid way to mid 30s and apparently I am grossly behind in taking care of my skin. Please help me- what should I be doing??
Ps- the Arbonne stuff made the skin around my eyes itch... So I won't be doing that. I'd rather look old than feel like I want to scratch my eye balls out.
Pps- when did all the social events where I would have a chance of meeting new people involve me having to buy something?? Can't we just have the wine and apps without the sales pitch??

I hate the pitch parties without notice. I've thrown one (Arbonne, a friend was getting started selling it) but told everyone that I invited I didn't expect them to buy anything
Hi everyone! I completely lost track of everything last week. May and June have been so crazy with traveling and guests. Last weekend MH graduated and his parents are here to celebrate. And we move two weeks from today! Eek. So I make no promises about how often I'll be around over the next 3 weeks. Hopefully I'll be back more regularly when we're settled and things calm down.
Congrats to your DH! We'll have to plan another ATL GTG sometime in July once you're settled
Still catching up ... but I had to agree wholeheartedly to this. I was about to say we were due for another GTG!
everydayimshuffling I hope the day is going well with O! And I don't know if there is an update yet (I'm sure I'll find out soon enough), but I hope everything goes/went well with your interview today sctiger!
I've never bought anything arbonne, I have a friend that sells it but I think she realized I wasn't going to buy anything and stopped asking. When O was born she sent a sample pack of their kids line and I used the sunscreen and she broke out in a rash, so I threw the rest away..
One of my coworkers sells Arbonne. She asked me to host a party in January but I put her off due to house renovations which was true. I kept putting it off and I think she just gave up on me. I liked the samples she gave me but I don't want to pay $50 for moisturizer. She makes a ton of money from it. Enough that she went part time this past year (about $40k) and resigned for next year to sah full time and just sell Arbonne.
H and I are having a serious come to Jesus talk when he gets home. Found out of my way home that he's heading to play magic tonight. He forgot to put it on the calendar. I would love to tell him he had to skip the thing he has Thursday night but it's a work thing related to his project he's on.
Argh, pissed and ticked off. He realized that he screwed up. He was told yesterday that we need to revisit the calendar and how much time we each get to ourselves.
The TV is parenting tonight.
I'll do my best to get the rest of my orders out tonight. It depends on how DS cooperates.

I really wanted to try the eye cream and this does not give me good feels!
A lot of people use it, so I'm sure that was just one case!

pitchslap I just bought a rnp today from someone on a garage sale site for my area. I'm always slightly creeped out when meeting up with someone I don't know, so I always try to bring my H or sister. today I didn't have either, but she turned out to be really nice.

The eye cream is what made my face react. I don't normally have sensitive skin- but I wanted to claw my face off. Other ladies there said they loved it. So... Who knows.

The woman that did our party used to be a nurse or something and now just sells. I'm not trying to knock the stuff- the ladies who use it, love it. I just got total sticker shock from the prices. $36 for kids sunscreen? $85 for night cream?? Considering I usually use whatever is on sale, and spend a grand total of zero time on my appearance- I'm not sure I'm their ideal client. The anti aging line had like FIVE steps. Unless one of those steps is have a shower beer and another is eat a donut- I don't want a 5 step process.
