What do you do about the crusty boogies right inside her nose? I can't get them out with the nose frida and her nose is so tiny im having a hard time getting to them.
I use a damp cloth, her cloth wipes or burp cloth and sorta pinch it off her nose. Or my pinky nail, carefully.
My hospital actually uses size 1 diapers on the newborns, they just kind of fold them down and they work fine. We still use newborns when we bring the babies home from the hospital but it's nice to know that size 1s will be fine if we're getting to the end of a box of newborns and don't want to commit to another.

Mine did too, but they are huge on her and the NB fit so much better and are easier to put on. We have a decent stash of size 1s and a small amount of NB... I know we will need more of both just not sure how much.

Glad im not the only one picking her kid's nose.
FFMC: Not only do I pick my kid's nose, but the other day she was dribbling milk out her cheek and I had my hands full with her and had just put a fresh shirt on me and a fresh onesie on her, so I straight up licked the milk off her face. (ETA: it was not bad.)

The mental image I got from this description just cracked me up. Lol.
When do babies start only nursing on one side? He'll always take both sides but I have to wake him up between boobs every time.
K is only 7 days old and we've been doing 1 side since day 3. She gained 4 oz. in 2 days so I know she's getting plenty. Gives my boobs a break and she gets the hind milk. Win-win.

I can't remember. This baby still takes both sides most of the time. I think my first took both for a while. In the middle of the night I nurse her on one side right when I get her, change her diaper to keep her awake, then go on the other side.
Newborn diapers fit best but if unfold down the size 1 diapers we are good and she's only 7 pounds now. When I got diapers at Target today the newborn box had 108 diapers and the size 1 box had 120 for the same price so I went with size 1. We ran out of newborn diapers last week and haven't had any trouble with the bigger ones.

Stupid question since I dont have an outside baby yet. Do you pump the other side? I went to a BF class through my hospital and they said to do both or supply will be uneven?

I don't. I haven't pumped yet at all. My supply doesn't seem uneven, it regulates to whatever you do.
I've never heard of having to pump the other side to keep supply even. It's supposed to regulate to whatever the feeding needs are. Also, ain't nobody got time for that.
This. I've never done it and bf for over a year with both kids without issue.
I'm completely lost on this "one side" convo. Does this mean at some point he will stop nursing on one boob entirely? When and why? So lost.
When nursing DS he always took both, but he feed much more off the first offered, and then I start with the other one next time. It's so they get more of the hind milk, more filling. The second is more of a "dessert".
So how will I know to transition to only nursing him on one side? Will he refuse the other? I'm so confused.
I don't think you need to transition. As they become more efficient at nursing, and if your supply is fine, he'll get enough from one side as a meal. I always offered the second after, which he'd take for awhile, but it wasn't as much for eating as it was just to snuggle. I always had to offer the other side the next time because it would be (more) full.

No, you still alternate sides, but apparently LO will only need to eat on one side per meal instead of draining both at each meal. I'm confused too, I never know when C is full as it is.

Oh! Oh this is what we do now, unless he's still hungry after one boob is done.

It will happen naturally if it's going to happen. It's not something you really need to think or stress about. There are plenty of babies who always feed from both sides so it may not happen.
ETA I hope that doesn't sound cold, I don't mean it that way. I just don't want you to think too much about this, do what works for you and that sweet guy of yours.
My LO has almost exclusively eaten one side only since birth. The only way I know if she wants the other side is if she cries when I try to put her down after feeding. Otherwise if I offer the other side she screws up her face and sticks her tongue out like the other boob is disgusting. Thanks, kid.

Depends on the "couple". Pretty much what iwubrory said. My first 3 always nursed on both sides. But within a couple weeks of birth, DD2 decided that one side was enough per meal- which was super nice when I went back to work, because I could tandem pump in the morning and that was her one bottle she needed for the day. (I was super PT then.)

I mostly nursed dd on one side only for the majority of the time. I started nursing her both sides at night in an attempt to get longer breaks between sessions. Not sure it really worked lol. But anyhow the point is you can switch it up.
