C has a raging case of baby acne. Anyone know how long I can expect it to last?
Did you put some breast milk on it? LO has had a few bumps and I put a little milk on them and they have cleared right up.
Why did I not think of this? A's entire face, neck, shoulders, and chest are broken out! It's gonna take a lot of breastmilk to clear her up. Add the peely alligator skin and she's a real looker these days. Apparently I need to pump.

Serious question:
I put K down on her play mat for tummy time. She passed the fuck out on her stomach. Can I just let her sleep like that? She hasn't really napped more than 20 minutes at a time all day and I really don't want to disturb her unless it's a serious risk to her health.

I'd leave her but just check on her periodically. E is currently passed out on his stomach laying on me.

If you can see her/check on her occasionally and her face isn't buried, why not? V sleeps best on her side and I let her sleep that way half the time anyway. Most babies will sleep on their stomachs eventually anyway (anecdote from friends, not science) so she may prefer it

Puts on flame retardant suit...DD1 slept on her tummy from one week old, DD2 sleeps much better on her tummy than her back...She's a week today. I do understand the risks. Also, that's not the highest risk factor for sids, they both have slept within a foot of me. DD1 moved to her crib at 7 months and was quite mobile. I know it's not the "right" thing, but it's worked so far for us.
Crazy paranoid mom here, but I would not let a newborn sleep on their belly. Ever. I've also lost a baby to SIDS, so I seriously flipped our rainbow baby to her back every time she went to her belly til she was a year old.
How much snot/boogies is normal? I feel like she has a lot but she otherwise seems fine. I don't suckered her and got a bunch out but she still sounds weezey and I'm not sure if I Should do more. She screams bloody murder while I'm doing it
When do you stop doing MOTN diaper changes? He's a month old. I still do it every time he wakes to eat. Overkill?
I'm terrible. I maybe change his diaper every other MOTN feeding because I'm tired and lazy. I usually do a pat or sniff test. If it doesn't seem too wet or stinky, I let it go to the next feeding.

So I've read that wet/pee diapers are actually the ones that cause and feed diaper rash - so I've been changing those (and all diapers, really) pretty much immediately bc I'm scared if the rash...

I change as needed. If there's poop, change. Puffy from pee, change. If it was every time she ate, I'd never get anything else done.
This is pretty much how we operated with DD from what I remember. Definitely didn't change a sleeping baby's diaper if just wet. I'm fairly certain the material I get from my HMO says to leave wet but not too wet diapers alone.
DS literally pooped every time he ate when he was little so we had a ton of changes.
For the moms who are also formula feeding, which formula are you using? Max started with enfamil but he seemed a bit fussy/gassy. We switched to enfamil gentle ease and it seems better. Any suggestions? I might pick up some mama bliss drops

We use Similac Advance (blue can). I tried Enfamil with my first and he didn't handle it well so I went with what I liked/knew. I also put Gerber soothe Drops (probiotic) in one bottle per day. I've never used the generics. They all have Palm olein in them like Enfamil but Similac doesn't.

I have some enfmil and some similac sample cans that I haven't opened yet - if you sign up on the website for some brands, they send out small cans to try so that might be a good way to see what works for M.
I got a few samples in the mail. I will try the similac. It's nice that they mail out samples, saves me money.

I'll try out the gerber soothe drops, hope that helps. I heard mama bliss is helpful, have you ever used them? I believe it's gripe water. But, maybe the probiotic is a better option.
Does your LO ever sleep not soundly? For the most part when she is asleep she is fine until she wakes up, but right now she is letting out a little cry every 15 min or so but then just going right back to peaceful sleep. I'm assuming this is fine...

I'm using both. So doing the probiotics once a day and then using gripe water when he's super fussy/gassy or gets really bad hiccups. I'm hoping the probiotics over time will help his gassy problems and we will use less and less of the gripe water.

I bought some gripe water with my first but never had much luck with it. Maybe I needed to use it longer. I generally use gas drops.
On the Gerber Soothe drops - I was able to get my pedi to write her a prescription for it so I could use my FSA dollars towards it.

Oh yeah, this kinda thing is normal. Lots of babies are loud restless sleepers. We joke that DS used to bark in his sleep.

Oh yes! My LO grunts whines and whipers throughout his sleep.
I would say normal. As long as spit up isn't yellow (like bile) and doesn't seem to be causing discomfort then it's normal. D gets a little congested at times so if he spits up it can be a little mucousy.

Does anyone remember how long this lasts? I am trying to wait out the restless sleep before transtitioning from the RNP to the crib...
