My bewbs ballooned and won't fit in my biggest bra any more. Anything bigger has to be special ordered or shipped from overseas now - I'm about halfway down the alphabet on a 30 band (but wearing a 34 band sewn tighter because there were bigger cup options) and look/feel ridiculous Pretty sure normal cup size for my overall body size is a B/C. Once I'm done feeding, I want a reduction since there's no amount of lifestyle changes can fix this.
Hugs and I feel you. I just tried on the two super expensive wired nursing bras I bought while I was preg and double nope... I am pretty sure I am an F or a G now. I want to go get fitted before I buy more though.
jewel441, getting fitted is a great idea, it makes a huge (pun intended) difference when your nursing bra fits right.
I really thought the E would be ok, I didn't think I was that much bigger than when I was preg. But I told H that and he just laughed at me... I had a 32 E and and 34 DD and neither was close so definitely worth a fitting

I'm having some major trouble with my nursing bras. The ones I wore after DS2 was born aren't working. I need to buy new ones but there isn't really a place around here that does fittings. I suspect I'm somewhere in the G/H range... yikes.
I'm getting really tired of the will I our won't I bleed anymore game my body is playing with me. I will go a day or two without bleeding then the flood gates open. Wtf, body? Get it together!

You might get a little lucky and go down a few sizes from your pre pregnancy size to after nursing. When I was done I was 2 sizes smaller than before pregnancy. The smallest I had been since I was probably 15 lol. Might not bring you down small enough but it allowed me to shop at a regular bra store. I also have a small band size (30-32) and have been up as high as a G at times. Before this pregnancy I was down to a 32C.
TheCoffeeNinja I'm right there with ya. I want a reduction after I finish BFing as well. I found some old DD bras I had and my first thought was wow those are small.
At my doc appt today I found out I'm 7lbs lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight.
So... Why do none of my clothes fit and is my tummy still so swollen?
Alternately, my boobs and feet are the exact same size they were pre-preg.
Pregnancy does weird things to your body, yo.
I think I might have lost quite a bit of muscle mass during pregnancy, which accounts for the "weight loss" but still feeling fat & squishy, since muscle is considerably heavier than fat. Event though I kept working out, it wasn't at the same level, and now I've hardly exercised in the month since she was born...

I hadn't thought of that. I'm still super doughy and pudgy and a bigger size than I was pre-pregnancy, so that may have something to do with it!
I do feel better hearing that a lot of you also have comical bra sizes now. I don't even mind spending a lot on a bra at this point I just want something that fits

Team small boobs for lyfe over here... I'm semi-jealous of all you ladies with boobs that actually grew during pregnancy/nursing. All I want is a C, is that too much to ask haha.

Yep- I never get big nursing boobs. They are bug for a few days when my milk comes in then they go back to their normal size.

C/s Qs. I've never had one, so this is new territory.
1. My going home outfit is Maternity jeans, full panel. Will that hurt to wear? Or should I have DH pull out a Maxi dress for me?
2. Any tips to speed recovery? Currently hitting the Morphine button like it's an orgasm button. Oh, there. That's just lovely...
3. Recovery time til you could take are of LO without help? H only planned to take 2 weeks. He has 3 weeks PTO on the books, and can take up to 6 more baby bonding if he HAS to. But it would be financially difficult to do so.

I wore yoga pants home, so maternity should be ok. I would try them on to see how they feel.
Don't skip your pain meds and as soon as they let you, get up and move around.
I was taking care of W alone the first week. H for called into work a lot. Out wasn't horrible. I set up a baby station I the couch so I wouldn't have to move around a whole lot. Recovery isn't as bad as you would think. I was completely off pain meds at the end of the first week, including ibprofren.
Definitely move around and walk as soon as they will let you it really helps.
I disagree about the pain meds though, I say take the bare minimum you can tolerate. I refused anything stronger than IB profin (not the right choice for everyone, but oxy is what they offered and i have had really bad reactions to it in the past) and I feel like not taking any opioids/narcotics greatly speeded up my recovery and I know it helped me go home early. It helps your digestive system return to normal faster too. That being said, don't let yourself be in unbearable pain that's not gonna help anybody.
By 1 week I was ok w to the baby alone. The no lifting is a big PITA, you can't really go anywhere by yourself but 3 weeks out and that hasn't changed bc I can't lift the car seat...
The recovery goes much faster than you think it will!

I wore yoga pants home. And I actually found my full panel maternity jeans super comfortable to wear in the first week. Get up and walk as much as you can without overdoing it. Take your time, but moving around and walking really does help as much as it sucks. Everyone was amazed at my recovery and I attribute it to moving. Even going from the bed to the chair helped a lot. I had my C on a Thursday (home on Saturday) and had the next full week with help. After that I had my almost 3 year old nephew, almost 2 year old DS, and DD by myself. Plus was walking down and picking up my niece from school. It's been tiring, but we are surviving. The hardest part is not lifting. Set up ways to have your toddler not need to be picked up. The boys climb on chairs to wash hands, climb into cribs and I got a booster seat DS can climb into instead of the high chair. Once I could drive again (2weeks) I am just leaving dd's car seat in the car and loading/unloading her from it instead of carrying the seat. Babywearing has helped a ton. I hope you have a speedy recovery!

1. I wore yoga pants and top that fit during pregnancy. Baggy and I didnt mind if they got gross.
2. This made me lol. To answer your question: Percocet. You can even cut them so you aren't getting a full dose if worried. I cut mine in half because its slows down your colon and I was already afraid of pooping. Take it at the same time as a stool softener.
3. MH was home for 2 weeks then i was on my own for one week before my mother came and helped for a week.
Just watch if the part where the jeans meet the panel hits where your incision is they may hurt. I know it did for me even 3 weeks out they hurt because they rub there. I wore stretchy black pj pants home. It's hard to say about the pain meds. My first 2 I only used them in the hospital and not at all when discharged. My 3rd csection seemed to hurt a little more so I did use them the first week home. Oh and walk as soon as they let you. If they don't ask you if you're ready by the next day, tell them you want to get up. I was up by 2pm the same day I had Brady (at 8am), he was in the level 2 nursery so I had to go to him to see him. They only let me out of the bed and into a wheelchair, but I was up! By 8pm that night I was walking on my own.
I'm up and walking. Hating it, but doing it. Apparently my c/s was complicated & challenging. Baby was out in 1 min, but it was over an hour to put Humpty Dumpty together again.
I went on a walk today, and circled the mat ward twice. In retrospect, too much. I plan to get up and try to go for a walk after each meal.
H is being really awesome. Changing all the diapers without complaint. Also handing all the quick upping and downing, and being my personal cheerleader when we go for walks.
Looking at a Monday discharge, but I'm afraid to leave. I'm also afraid of not holding onto my belly. I feel like if I don't hold everything in, that my insides will come spilling out.

I seriously hate this a lot. I feel so helpless!
((hugs)) it gets easier, I promise. You are doing great walking around the whole ward!
FunniBunni - have they given you a belly binder yet? I don't have any personal experience, but I've always heard people mention getting them. I'm not sure if they received it immediately or if they actually have to order and wait on one.

I was just going to say this. If they don't give you one, you can order one online and have it by the time you get home. They range in price from a few dollars to hundreds. I got a simple $20 one and it has been great. It really helped me feel like things were more together.

Yes! I have one, but I'm still holding myself. Pressure dressing comes off after my shower today. Freaking about that too. I'm supposed to get the dressing very wet so it can be easily removed.
Had my pp appointment this week, and was cleared for excercise. Boo. So now i am on the treadmill walking at 2.5 and it is embarrassing how winded and sore i am!
