How I managed to get peed in two times in the same diaper changing session is beyond me. I'm so tired I don't even care that it got all over me & him, I care about the 3 diapers that were wasted.
After now a second round of antibiotics in scared that the infection (which looked almost completely gone) is flaring again. I'm scared they'll have to cut me or something or hospitalize me to heal it and I'm just way over reacting and freaking out atm. No fever or anything just freaking out at increasing redness rather than it going away. I just want to be healthy and whole and taking care of my LO. I don't need to still be sick. Please keep me in your thoughts.
I'm so sorry this is all still going on. Keeping you in my T&P. Kee us posted on everything!
I have the Solly baby wrap. It's bamboo but still gets too hot for him after a few hours and he gets all fussy. Any suggestions?
I have the Solly too. He likes it, but I notice he does get pretty warm... But I don't think he's ever lasted more than an hour and a half. What are you wearing under? Around home you could just do a tank top and have him in a diaper?
We are out and about around town so I'll wear cotton shirt and he normally has a onesie on. I'm thinking I might just have to take him out and carry him every now & then so he doesn't get too warm.
Just downloaded the app MomsPumpHere to find places to nurse. Apparently it just launched inMay so it's still pretty limited and glitchy BUT it helped me find a place to nurse while I'm out today!

I have TMI questions. What do y'all do with the baby when you have to go to the bathroom? Like peeling I'm fine setting him down and letting him cry but what about #2? Do you bring them in there with you? Idk.
Confession: I have never seen Dr. Who, I know absolutely nothing about it other than there is a blue phone booth, and I have no desire to watch it. Flame away...
Today is my last day to have my Mom here. It's been 6 weeks that she's been here helping! I'm to the point where of course she's driving me nuts BUT it's been so nice to have help! I'm pretty sad and scared to venture into having full days where I'm doing this alone. Eek.
packmomma your Mom is an asshole and needs to be told to hush. Sorry you're having to deal with that. On the diaper rash topic. I've haven't seen anyone suggest Boudreaux's. We use it and LOVE it. If you use the max strength version it will be cleared up in a jiffy! I've also heard good things about Aveeno.
Question: do you have any recommendations on nursing tops? All I have in my closet are t-shirts and a few maternity tops. Lifting up my shirt to feed Liam, especially in public, is annoying. Any brands you like?
Finding nursing tops/dresses is proving really difficult but surprisingly I found my favorites at Walmart. They are empire waist with lace detail on the top of the tank top. I've only found them in grey and black. It's in the section with bras and undies and tummy control stuff.
Uh-oh. I mix just pumped milk with refrigerated milk. Is it harmful to LO?
Oops. I always mix refrigerated milk with the fresh stuff.
I do this all the time. Everyday I add fresh pumped to refrigerated from earlier that day so it's the correct bottle amount. How bad is mixing and why?
Age of LO: 4 months/1month adjusted How it's going: lurking for now, but I'm hoping to be able to start BFing after our ped appt next week. So afraid to screw with her weight gain. Questions: any good written resources on where to start? Internet sites, books, etc? Gave up on this in the nicu in order to get her out, so I'm behind.
Ask the ped about doing a weighted feeding while you are there. It will help you both understand how much she is getting during a feeding and if you should be supplementing her while you get started. Good luck!
Breastfeeding is going so much better. It's really much easier. My nipples start to hurt only every couple of days now. B is super regimented and tends to get hungry right as feeding times approach.
Advice: Stick with it. It really does get better! I would cry at every breastfeeding and cringe before it would start. Now I can NIP. It's amazing because it felt like the end was not in sight.
I wish I knew how much this kid was actually getting. He sometimes only stays latched for about 10 min per feeding and goes hours in between. I feel like there's no way he's getting enough.
How badly do you want to know? I ended up buying this scale so I could do weighted feedings. Or ask your pedi if they can let you do a weighted feeding there:
Both my parents are in town so we've been go go go for a few days.
LO has been so congested. I have been getting out so much snot with the nose frida. Any natural remedies y'all can suggest? Should I go buy a baby vapor rub?
Use a humidifier in the room baby sleeps in..
We were using it for a few weeks but it wasn't really helping. I'll start it back up just in case though.
unfortunately there isn't something you can take, but I highly recommend getting the d-drops. It's a one drop dose of vitamin d that you put either on your nipple right before you feed the baby or the bottle nipple. No additives, you can find it at babies r us, or most pharmacies....at least in Canada is in most pharmacies. The dvisol caused tummy troubles for my first and so I switched, no more tummy troubles.
+1 to d drops
Does anyone get these from Amazon and want to give me a clicky link to a brand you recommend?
