Idk, I've learned not to ask, it never leads anywhere good. Like when she says something like she won't let her kids play with toy trucks because she doesn't want her kids to think being a truck driver is a career option we end up arguing about it.
She also is against things like baby talk, sanitized fairy tales, and Santa, so maybe it's something about treating kids like adults? She also talks a lot about Danish parenting maybe it's from that.

Oh boy, her kids are going to eventually figure out truck driving is a job option haha. I don't want my daughter to ride a bike because she might think that's a professional job option too, I mean wtf
We have a recent development of projectile spit up over here. Anyone know if it could be related to either extra teething drool or rotavirus vaccine??
Yes, the former. DD went from never spitting up to doing impressive daily exorcist style spits as soon as the teething symptoms started.
DS is also drooling like crazy and there has been an increase in spit up.
He's also been trying to roll onto his tummy. He gets so frustrated when he gets stuck. So during one of his tries, I just gave him a light tap to help him over. He seemed so proud of himself and started smiling and talking.

But... they ARE kids! I understand not treating kids like younger than they are... but they're not adults. Children's songs and stories are healthy for development. I'm a big fan of using real words (bottle rather than baba, for example) so they learn correct language... but I've also read that the various tones and pitches in baby talk are also good for learning communication.
Mine takes 45 minute naps every three hours. I'm like come on kid this is crazy. Sleep child sleep.
Yes, short naps here too. They seem to recharge her into smiley baby again, though, so I guess it's ok! (For now..... when she's two, I will need a longer break please.)

Oh I agree. My sister has a lot of weird ideas about things and then takes them to the extreme.
Why has my child decided that falling asleep in her crib is essentially torture? Like a week ago she would fall asleep on her own in the crib without crying and now I have screaming and refusal to sleep unless I'm holding her.
On the topic of periods I got mine back a month ago so when my LO was 3 months old. Not sure why because she's EBF and I thought it was going to stay away a lot longer. She eats every 3 hours around the clock.
Anyway it was very heavy, probably the heaviest period I've ever had. It definitely reset my hormones back though, I'm no longer desert dry down there 24/7, my hair started falling out finally, I'm back to feeling cold all the time (rather than always sweating), I lost some additional weight.

So, I'm on day three of what looks like nothing short of a murderous knife fight. I'm used to heavy and this is bad even for me. I'll be happy to be through the first period. But, it is nice to hear that some things in me will reset. I still night sweat and I'm still bloated. We'll see what happens!

My first one was just so very very bad. I am normally quite heavy too. And it lasted super long too, almost 2 weeks, I would say from start to complete finish. But I will note that I have had like 3 AFs now and each one is a bit better then the last. Still not exactly normal yet but at least better, And regular. So at least my body is doing something right.

So tired. I finally convinced DD to stay asleep after 2.5 hours and then I woke up with hypoglycemia at 3:30 am and didn't fall back to sleep for a couple hours. Today should be fun with the child who doesn't nap. At least I have storytime today so I'll get some social interaction and we are getting our Christmas tree tomorrow

My periods used to be super light as in I only had to wear pantiliners so I can only imagine
Hi friends! I know I never post much, but since going back to work I haven't even been able to lurk. But I have time today because...my children are all currently napping in their beds (ahem, DS). At the same time. *furiously knocks on wood*
