Tried to get M to fall asleep in the RnP... Nope. Put him in the swing and he's out after 5 min. Now he's sleeping in the swing turned off and will go in the RnP for his 2nd stretch, but have no idea how I'll ever transition him out of his beloved swing. Fml.

LO does NOTwant to go to sleep tonight. Of all nights this is the worst. DH is going out of town tomorrow for work and I would love to spend some time with him.

Wore LO in a carrier tonight and for the first time she loved it. So much so that she slept 3.5 hours when she is normally awake and nursing constantly during that time. I eventually had to wake her up to change and feed her, and she went back to sleep pretty easily just now. I am really worried she will be up constantly tonight since she never really naps in the evening.

The Troublesome Tots site has given me so much good info and peace of mind re: swing sleep. I thought my LO would be in the swing until he left for college, but he's actually been exclusively in the RNP now for about a week!!! I was so grateful for the swing in the first place for my stubborn nonsleeper and for the articles on that site that told me it was okay. I want to hug this lady!
LO had a later bedtime tonight (10:15-ish) since we were out late, and she's still out. I'm up pumping. She usually wakes up right when I pump, so I'm waiting for it. I need to start leaving my hand pump by my bed so I can just relieve pressure.
O fought sleep hard again tonight. Was tired at 9, asleep by 10. Up at 1030 back down at 11. Back up at 1130 then down at 12. Back up at 3.
In other news, I decided to pump now instead of at 6 and I font know if it's bc of the time or the new flanges I got for my pump but I just pumped am extra ounce! Woo for small victories. The dog also thinks that it's time to wake up for breakfast...nope.

Little man fell asleep on his own tonight and we were all excited. Then it has turned in to the worse nights sleep ever!! Up at 12,2:15, and 4. Just took a bottle maybe he will sleep a couple of hours.

DB went back to sleep after his 6am feeding. He's sleeping in the walk-In closet of our hotel room!
I know I should have sex with DH now, but we're both sitting here on our phones. I was too exhausted last night. But I feel like if we don't do it on this fancy bed on vacation that's pretty bad. Hmmm...
I just hope she'll sleep for a liiitle bit longer when she's done. Mama's still tired!
I say yes! Depends on your personal schedule though if 5am is "MOTN"! For you;)
This is a good answer. Technically 6 hour stretches are "STTN" but my kids always go to bed early, so I never think of them as STTN since even with 7 hour stretches they're still up around 2!
Today is going to be rough over here. We took the boys to see Shrek the musical tonight. LBB loved it, and BH slept through most of it, but we didn't get home until 11, in bed by 11:30 instead of 9. And since BH slept, his eating schedule is pretty much the same. So I'm up at 4 to feed, and 6 to shower before DH leaves for work.

For us, evening naps turned into early bedtimes. He'd nap around 5 or 6 and eventually would just stay asleep so now we keep him up until at least 7 and it's bedtime!
It's not really motn right now, but I have a little rant. DH passed out last night for like 4 hours. I woke him to do the last night feed because I had to pump and LO had to eat at the same time. Well since he had that 4 Hour nap he couldn't go back to sleep because that's pretty much a solid night's sleep for him. Well LO started making noises in her bassinet and DH came in because he heard her. I was already doing what I normally do to settle her back down- What I've been doing for two months now. He decided no she's awake and takes her out of the bassinet. Even though I know she totally would've settled herself back to sleep. Then he lays her on the bed while I make a bottle because now she's awake. I come in and tell him she needs to be change and he says maybe she'll go back to sleep. No you woke her up, she's going to want to eat. Then he's pissy because he wants to go back to sleep, but I told him he needs to feed her now because it's time for me to pump. (**sidenote: I'm trying to establish a routine pumping schedule for work) YOU'RE THE ONE THAT TOOK HER OUT OF THE BASSINET BUDDY!!

M slept from 9-4:15! Tried to put him in the RNP after his feeding but refused to fall asleep til 530 and passed out on me til 7. I know I shouldnt let him sleep on me but I was so tired.
Cant help but sing that song in my head every time MOTN is mentioned.
Its crazy hot, baby boy is overtired and had lots and lots of stimulation today. Sleep isnt going to happen easily! Ugh, long night coming i think...no sign of sleep just yet.
I hadn't made that connection before, but now I keep hearing it too! At least it is a song I like!

Nice Billy Joel reference.
I go back to work tomorrow which means being up at the ass crack of dawn (boo 50 minute commute). I'm working on putting LO to bed then hastily packing up everything I need for tomorrow and hopefully in bed by 9:30. We're back to 4 hours then up every 2 and it's not cool. I'm slightly worried about DH getting LO and everything he needs to daycare, pumping at work, and a myriad of other things. I might be too anxious to sleep tonight.

Good luck on your first day back at work. I can't imagine going back but it's about a month away.
LO was super fussy after her shots yesterday - I couldn't put her down and she wouldn't stop "nursing". She fell asleep around 9 but when we transferred her to the RnP, she woke up crying. H let me go to sleep and I honestly don't remember anything past him taking her out of the room.
Anyways, she did another 6+ hour stretch of sleep after that, so I'm pretty excited about this sleeping during the night thing! Now if she'll nap during the day, were in business!
First night in the pack n play since we got the reflux issues ironed out.
Her eyes popped right open when I put her down, but she didn't cry. I have her the binkie and turned on her light up giraffe and sat on the bed to see what she'd do.
She grunted a little and started to fuss, so I picked her up, gave her binkie back, kissed her forehead and laid her back down. Her eyes started to get droopy and she fell asleep all by herself!!

I'm absolutely drowning over here. DD will not take a real nap during the day. She will only fall asleep ON me and i can't put her down or she'll wake up in minutes. Night time is also a gem. She fights my attempts at getting her to sleep tooth and nail and when i finally get her to fall asleep (always on me, even if I wanted to let "cry it out" it isn't in her bag of tricks. She'll cry until hell freezes over) even moving her 1 foot over into her rock and play instantly wakes her up and I mean UP. I'm running on empty. She used to sleep 6 hours at night at least. She started wanting to feed every hour during the day and now it's spilling over into the night. She's 9 weeks and this has been going on for 2 weeks now. I feel like it's never going to end. I know it's a stormy period and she's going through a growth spurt but if we do this every day in afraid it's going to become a habit for her and never get better.
So frustrated. Every time I put B down he wakes up about 5-15 minutes later. If I offer him to nurse he will, but it really. He's just sucking, not really drinking. Yet, he won't take a pacifier. If I let him fuss for a few minutes to try to calm himself down/fall back asleep he just winds himself up even more. The last 3 times I've gotten him out of his crib he has fallen asleep on my boob within 2 or 3 minutes. He just wants to sleep on it! Argh! I am exhausted because we didn't sleep well last night either. I am so frustrated I feel like I could cry
LO was wailing and being extra fussy last night. Finally around 9:30, h took her out of her room (where we watch tv and nurse/Rock her to sleep) and took her into our quiet room (where we all sleep). Fussing immediately stopped and she fell asleep easily. I felt like a stellar parent for not even thinking of overstimulation!

DD got her 2 month shots today and it seems I have a sleeper baby! She went down for the night SO easily (thank goodness, she was a little fussy during dinner, but a warm bath cured that;)) I feel bad but I have to go wake her up after I'm done pumping to give her some Tylenol. Hopefully she'll go back down quickly!

So sorry for those feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Hope you can find a way to get a good nap yourself tomorrow- have SO give a bottle or something! It will get better!!
It's amazing how different it feels to only get 3 hour stretches at night again, which my DB decided to do tonight. Where did my 4 & 5 hour go LO?
I had another intense dream last night that V was lost in the sheets. I haven't had that strong of a sensation in a long time, and it was terrifying. I could really live without those dreams.
I had that happen again last night too. I woke up swearing that the body pillow next to me was her and I couldn't find her face. I was convinced she was suffocating. I haven't had this since 1 mo PP.
